I have been asked by Maria Hines to create Colorstretch paintings for her second restaurant Golden Beetle, in Ballard. I of course said yes. I will be going there this weekend for inspiration, pictures, and color themes. She said she would like 5 big canvases. Wow is all I can say. This will be a lot of work and tons of paint. Each one can have up to two+ gallons of paint! More on this later. I need to get ready for the Broadcast Coffee show next week! Busy busy…

In August and September I will be showing art at Broadcast Coffee on Bellevue Ave on Capitol Hill. More on the opening later, being I don’t know the exact date yet. I’m hoping it is on August 1st because it’s a Friday…

On June 22nd will be the summer open house for Inscspe Arts. This will be my third open house since I became a tenant there. I have new work that I am excited to show the public. Put it in your calendars and come on down and support local Seattle artists!!!

I am painting two works this weekend. One was made last night. The other today or tomorrow. Need to go paint shopping… I hopefully will be painting some mid week on my easel. I haven’t painted on my easel since February. I seriously need a bigger studio.

Tonight I went to my first Black Tie event. I went with my sister Ann. We looked great and had a splendid time. I’ve been talking about it in my past posts, but now it’s come and gone. I will have to find out how much my painting ended up going for in the silent auction. It was amazing to see how much money this amazing organization brought in on such a special night. This marks the 25th year of Tuxes and Tails event. I will volunteer there till the day I die. I’m so proud right now. It feels good to make a difference and help others and creatures that can’t help
themselves. Seattlehumane.org

Two of the three commissions are completed. The purple was delivered today. The red will remain there for a week or so, the third will be delivered next week. Now it’s all about prepping 6 canvases. I can’t have any hiccups in my creativity, no time. I will post a picture of the third one next week!
