I reached out to FareStart earlier this year and asked them if they would be interested in a painting for their silent auction scheduled for this fall. They said yes! This is the second painting I have donated to them. Six years ago they reached out to me and asked if I would consider donating a painting to their 25 year anniversary gala. I really believe in this charity and I will always continue to donate art in the name of charity. I have donated over 12 works of art to date. Thousandth of dollars to help animals, fund cancer research, and others!
The most exciting part of this experience is that I was able to watch as people bid. Over the course of the night the auction was going on, I saw it go up and up! The market value was $250. The winning bid was $300 over that selling for $550!!!!!! Great cause, happy bidder, all a great experience.
Next year I am donating a commission piece where the winner will work with me and I will create a painting of their color choice!
